I can't wait to grow artichokes!
It blew my mind when I found out we could grow artichokes. The lessons I've learned for next year are -- give them a lot more water, and beef up their soil with as much manure, compost, and fertilizer as I can spare.
We've enjoyed eating them immensely, but all our 'chokes so far have been relatively small and not very tight. I think more food and water will help that,
